Our ancestors, pure-blood demons of flesh and desire, ruled the world, preyed on the animals that would become men, and partook in the first joining so long ago. They left the upper world to be our playground, our hunting ground, and returned to the darkest depths of home. We are the descendants of their halfbreed children.
